Just a short drive from Milton Keynes, Salcey Forest is an Oasis of nature and history. This magnificent woodland has many miles of ancient wood banks, building remains and ancient trees. The ‘druids’, or veteran oaks, are rare and amazing wildlife habitats, and some of the old oaks are over 600 years old. See what you can spot on your visit to the medieval royal hunting forest.

There are endless walking trails, a family cycling trail, brilliant new play area and even an onsite café selling tasty homemade meals and cakes in a warm, friendly environment. Children will love our brand new Room on the Broom trail!

Room on the Broom Trail – Get ready for a magical adventure with Witch and her friends. It’s an enchanting outdoor adventure for the whole family! Follow the trail through the forest to discover spellbinding stops filled with fun Room on the Broom activities and fascinating forest facts. Help Witch find her lost hat, bow and wand along the way and collect special ingredients to complete the spell.
Go Ape – the perfect place for your family to get their adrenaline pumping and enjoy the great outdoors.
Wellbeing Trail – take some time for you on our wellbeing trail. Spending time amongst the trees really noticing nature is scientifically proven to boost  mental and physical health.  Follow the trail to take a mindful walk through the forest that invites you to truly relax.

Grounds Café is located on site serving a variety of delicious food and drinks. There’s a dog-friendly area within the cafe, so four-legged friends are welcome.
